Privacy Policy

Cortex Sports Analytics

Effective Date: April 1, 2026

1. Introduction

Cortex Sports Analytics (“Cortex,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is operated by Veridian Data Analytics. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and share information when you access or use our website at cortexsportsanalytics.com and any related services (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information in the following ways:

Account Information (via Manus OAuth)

Authentication on Cortex Sports Analytics is handled through Manus OAuth, a third-party identity service. When you sign in, we receive a user identifier, display name, and email address from the Manus OAuth service. We do not store your password. The information received is used solely to create and maintain your account on our platform.

Subscription and Payment Information

Subscription payments are processed by Stripe (stripe.com). Stripe collects and processes your payment card details, billing address, and tax information directly. We do not receive or store full payment card numbers. We receive from Stripe only the data necessary to manage your subscription status: a customer identifier, subscription identifier, plan variant, subscription status, and renewal date. Stripe’s own privacy policy governs the handling of your payment data.

Usage Data

We collect anonymized usage analytics (page views, session duration, feature interactions) through Umami Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics tool that does not use cookies and does not track users across sites. We also log prediction requests and results in order to calculate accuracy metrics and improve our models.

Communications

If you submit a message through our Contact page or sign up for email notifications, we collect your email address and the content of your message in order to respond to you.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To create and manage your account and authenticate your identity.
  • To process subscription upgrades, downgrades, and cancellations via Stripe.
  • To enforce subscription tier access controls (Free vs. Pro features).
  • To store and display your prediction history and accuracy statistics.
  • To improve the accuracy and relevance of our analytics models.
  • To send transactional emails (e.g., subscription confirmations) when applicable.
  • To respond to support requests submitted through the Contact page.
  • To monitor service health and diagnose technical issues.

4. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only with the following categories of service providers, and only to the extent necessary to operate the Service:

5. Data Retention

We retain account information for as long as your account remains active. Prediction history and accuracy data are retained indefinitely to support model improvement and to allow you to review your historical usage. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personally identifiable information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention. Anonymized, aggregated usage data may be retained indefinitely.

6. Cookies and Tracking

We use a session cookie to maintain your authenticated login state. This cookie is essential for the Service to function and is not used for advertising. Our analytics provider (Umami) does not use cookies. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking technologies.
